Polling hours: Elections (General) Regulations 2012 reg. 66(1): 'voting shall commence at 6 o'clock in the morning and end at 5 o'clock in the afternoon on the polling day'; reg. 66(2): anyone in the queue before 5 p.m. may still vote; reg. 64(3): a presiding officer may extend hours at a station that opened late or was interrupted. 17:00 EAT (UTC+3, no daylight saving) = 14:00 UTC; individual stations can close later. (Regulations reg. 89 applies them to a fresh election.)
