# Election Index

> Neutral, sourced reference of national elections: polling days, count stage windows (when provisional and final results are expected), counting authorities, and classified results sources. Tables, CSV, REST API and MCP. Owned and operated by MC² Ventures; may move to an independent foundation in the future. Data CC BY 4.0: credit Election Index and link to https://electionindex.org.

Key rule: a result is only final after its final-result window. Use /v1/check (or the MCP tool check_question) before stating or settling a final result. Values are calendar expectations unless observed=true.
