DATE (tentative, latest lawful Sunday): Constitution art. 60 and Electoral Law art. 18 ter require the election 'during the last three months of the parliamentary term'. The current Assembly held its inaugural sitting on 13 Mar 2023 (webdo.tn, Mar 2023, citing a presidential decree of 8 Mar 2023 convening it); reading the term as running from that sitting, it ends on 12 Mar 2028 and the window is about 13 Dec 2027 - 12 Mar 2028. Art. 102: polling on a public holiday or weekly rest day; Sunday 12 Mar 2028 is the last such day in the window. (If the term were counted from the final results of 25 Feb 2023, the latest Sunday would be 20 Feb 2028.) The ISIE sets the calendar by decision and the President convenes voters by decree at least three months ahead (arts. 18 ter, 101).
