    Date (tentative): Code électoral L.155: deputies' mandate is five years and the Assembly's powers expire on the day the newly elected Assembly is installed; LO.156: 'Les élections générales ont lieu entre les soixante (60) jours et les vingt (20) jours qui précèdent la fin du mandat'; L.63: a Sunday. The current Assembly, elected early on 17 Nov 2024 after the dissolution decree n° 2024-1980 of 12 Sep 2024, was installed on Mon 2 Dec 2024 (first session and election of its President; APA news and vie-publique.sn). Reading the mandate as running from installation (as L.155 and Décision n° 2/C/2024 cons. 10-13 treat the legislature), it ends on 2 Dec 2029; the window is 3 Oct to 12 Nov 2029, and the LATEST lawful Sunday is 11 Nov 2029. Open point: if the mandate were counted from the Conseil constitutionnel's proclamation (27 Nov 2024; Décision 2/C/2024 cons. 8 cites the Assembly's rules for the deputy's mandate starting then), the latest Sunday would be 4 Nov 2029. The 2022 vote (31 Jul 2022, 43 days before the 12 Sep 2022 installation) fits the installation reading. Convocation decree at least 90 days before (LO.190). Early-election risk: the President may dissolve the Assembly from 2 Dec 2026 (art. 87: not during the first two years of the legislature; the vote then falls 60 to 90 days after the decree). Constitutional change risk: a revision of the Constitution (loi n° 18/2026, adopted by the National Assembly on 29 Jun 2026, amending among others arts. 29, 30, 31, 34 and 36) was declared contrary to the Constitution by the Conseil constitutionnel on 9 Jul 2026 (Décision n° 6/C/2026); its earlier advisory Décision n° 4/C/2026 of 13 May 2026 concerned the same draft.
