    Electoral Act 2014 s.46(2): polls close at 6.00pm (queue rule) unless the notice of poll sets other hours; Fiji is UTC+12 with no daylight saving in force (tzdata). s.102A: the Supervisor of Elections must continuously publish provisional results for candidates and parties from the first protocol of results until 7 am on the day after polling day — 7 Feb 2027 07:00 FJT = 6 Feb 19:00 UTC. Precedent 2022 (polling 14 Dec): provisional results appeared in the FEO Results App on election night; an 'anomaly' in the app was later corrected (EC press release 'Manual Counting', 16 Dec 2022). Provisional, not the declared result. Polling day itself is tentative (latest date).

    Two steps: the Supervisor announces the Final National Results Tally once the original final protocols from all polling stations are in (Electoral Act 2014 s.103), then the Electoral Commission allocates seats and publicly declares the members elected (ss.104–106) within 24 hours of receiving all final protocols, extendable for good reason (s.107). The EC declaration is the final result. Precedent 2022 (polling Wed 14 Dec): the EC received the Final National Results Tally at 4pm on 18 Dec 2022 (day 4) and declared the 55 members at 1pm on 19 Dec 2022 (day 5), then returned the writ to the President (EC chair's statements of 18 and 19 Dec 2022 on electoralcommission.org.fj).     Constitution s.93: if one party wins more than 50% of the seats, its leader assumes office as Prime Minister by taking the oath before the President; otherwise Parliament elects the Prime Minister at its first sitting (up to three votes, 24 hours apart; failing that, the President dissolves Parliament). Either way, not before the members are declared, so the window opens with the final-result window. 2022: no party won a majority; Parliament first met on 24 Dec 2022 (day 10; date implied by the EC's s.64(3) statement of 15 Sep 2026) and elected the Prime Minister that day (Wikipedia, 2022 Fijian general election; not checked against the Parliament's Hansard).
