Voting runs 07:00-21:00 local; voters queuing at 21:00 may vote until 23:59 (Legea 208/2015 arts. 82(3), 88); abroad voting also runs on the Saturday (art. 6(1)). On 18 Mar 2029 Romania is on EET (UTC+2; summer time starts 25 Mar 2029), so polls close 19:00 UTC. DATE WORKING (tentative): the Parliament elected on 1 Dec 2024 legally met on Fri 20 Dec 2024 (presidential decree of 11 Dec 2024, presidency.ro), and members take up their mandate on that day (Constitution art. 70(1)), so the four-year mandate (art. 63(1)) expires on 20 Dec 2028. Art. 63(2) requires the election 'în cel mult 3 luni de la expirarea mandatului', i.e. by Tue 20 Mar 2029; polling can only be a Sunday (Legea 208/2015 art. 6(1)), so the latest permitted day is Sun 18 Mar 2029, used here.
