Polling hours are set by the convocation decree, not yet published. 2022 precedent (Décret n° 2022-66 of 26 Jan 2022): 08:00-19:00 local, with prefects allowed to extend closing to 20:00 at the latest. On 18 Apr 2027 metropolitan France is on CEST (UTC+2), so the last close is 20:00 CEST, 18:00 UTC; the Saturday-voting territories and the Americas vote the day before. The Ministry of the Interior publishes provisional results from the close. The window closes at the deadline for the departmental counting commissions, 'au plus tard le lundi qui suit le scrutin, à minuit' (Décret 2001-213 art. 28), i.e. midnight 19 Apr CEST. That end is an ESTIMATE of when the ministry's provisional count is complete. Provisional, not the proclaimed result.
