Held on 16–17 Oct only in districts where no candidate won more than half of the valid votes on 9–10 Oct (§§ 75, 76(1) Act 247/1995 Sb.). The top two candidates advance. If a finalist withdraws, loses eligibility or dies and fewer than two remain, the next-placed candidate advances and that district's runoff moves to the thirteenth day after round one (§ 76(3)). Seats = districts still open after round one, at most 27.

Method: the SVK notice gives national totals and the elected senators with their nominating party, but no votes by party, so the party vote totals are OUR SUMS of the ČSÚ's official per-district candidate results (volby.gov.cz/appdata/senat/20261009/vysled/obvod/<n>.json for the 27 districts, read 25 Oct 2026), grouped by nominating party (navrhující strana: the party itself, or for a coalition the party the notice names as 'Navrhující politická strana'; 'Nezávislý kandidát' groups the independents who stood on a petition); names from the ČSÚ's party register (cisel/cpp.json). Our sums add up exactly to the notice's valid-vote totals. Only the 13 nominating parties with a runoff finalist are listed, by second-round votes. Seats won in round two: STAROSTOVÉ A NEZÁVISLÍ 7, Občanská demokratická strana 7, KDU-ČSL 2, and one each for TOP 09, SEN 21, Starostové pro Liberecký kraj, Naše Město F-M, 24/7 and Osobnosti pro kraj = 22. winner marks the most second-round votes (STAROSTOVÉ A NEZÁVISLÍ, level on seats with ODS).     Runoff voting follows the same hours as round one (§ 76(6) Act 247/1995 Sb.; § 2(2) Act 88/2024 Sb.), so polls close at 14:00 CEST on Sat 17 Oct. 2024: ČT24's live blog of Sat 28 Sep 2024 has the first district winner at about 15:00 and all 27 winners decided that afternoon. The ČSÚ 2022 open data is marked "stav po zpracování 2. kola voleb - 01.10.2022", the runoff polling day. The window closes at the end of Sunday 18 Oct, CEST. This is the count, not the SVK's declaration.
