Polling day DERIVED, not decreed: Sun 23 May 2027 is the fourth Sunday of May (LOREG art. 42.3), four years after 28 May 2023; the call decree would be issued on the 55th day before (Mon 29 Mar 2027) and published the next day. LOREG art. 84.1: voting 'a las nueve horas ... hasta las veinte horas'; 20:00 CEST = 18:00 UTC. The provisional count is compiled from copies of each polling station's tally (art. 98.2, for provisional information only). Valencia is NOT bound to the fourth Sunday of May: Les Corts elected 28 May 2023 serve four years (Statute art. 23.4, mandate ends 28 May 2027) and the President of the Generalitat calls the election by decree, voting 54-60 days after its publication (Ley 1/1987 art. 14). The Valencian government has said it plans the election for 23 May 2027 with the municipal elections and denied an early election (El Español, 21 Jul 2026); on 27 Sep 2026 regional press still described the elections as about eight months away (Interdiario).
