Polling day DERIVED, not decreed, and less firmly than in regions whose statute fixes the fourth Sunday of May. Statute art. 38.3: four-year mandate; art. 56: the President may dissolve (not in the first year of the legislature or while a censure motion is pending). Law 1/2022 art. 16.2-3: except after early dissolution, the decree is issued on the 25th day before the mandate ends and the election held on the 54th day after. In 2023 the President used a dissolution-and-convocation decree (Decreto 26/2023 of 3 Apr, BOC 67 of 4 Apr 2023) to vote on 28 May 2023, the day of the municipal elections (fourth Sunday of May, LOREG art. 42.3). 23 May 2027 assumes the same practice (ESTIMATE); without such a decree, art. 16 would put polling day around late June 2027 (estimate). No dissolution signal was found. The Junta Electoral Central's 'Elecciones en curso' page listed no election in progress on 30 Sep 2026. Polls: LOREG art. 84.1, 09:00-20:00 local (supletory; Law 1/2022 does not change it); the islands are on WEST (UTC+1) on 23 May, so 20:00 = 19:00 UTC, an hour after the mainland. 2023 precedent: the Government of the Canary Islands published provisional results on resultadoscanarias2023.infoelecciones.com and the app 'Elecciones Canarias 2023'. Two ballots per voter (island and regional constituencies). Provisional count only; it excludes the votes of electors resident abroad (CERA), which are counted at the general scrutiny (LOREG art. 75). The window's end (02:00 local time on Monday) is an ESTIMATE; the 2023 time of 100% counted was not verified. Held on the same day as the municipal elections (LOREG art. 42.3).

Law 1/2022 art. 31.1: the general scrutiny by the Junta Electoral de Canarias 'se realizará el octavo día siguiente al de la votación' (Mon 31 May 2027; 10:00 local under LOREG art. 104.2 = 09:00 UTC) and 'deberá concluir no más tarde del undécimo día posterior' (Thu 3 Jun), regional constituency first; claims and appeals then follow LOREG art. 108.2-4 before the proclamation. Art. 31.2: the Junta sends the list of deputies proclaimed elected to Parliament and publishes it in the Boletín Oficial de Canarias 'en un plazo máximo de cuarenta días' (by Fri 2 Jul 2027). 2023 precedent: Resolution of 16 Jun 2023 (day 19) of the Junta's President publishing the results and the proclaimed deputies, BOC 121 of 22 Jun 2023 (day 25); the exact 2023 proclamation date was not found. The 2027 equivalent of day 25 is Thu 17 Jun. The opening is the regional law's scrutiny date (later than the LOREG 5th-day floor, 28 May). The window closes at the end of Mon 21 Jun 2027 WEST, the day before the latest legal date for the new Parliament's constitution (Law 1/2022 art. 16.3: 'dentro de los treinta días siguientes a la celebración de las elecciones', i.e. by Tue 22 Jun), which requires the proclamation first; the BOC publication of the full result can come later (deadline 2 Jul). Proclamations can be challenged in the contentious-electoral procedure (LOREG arts. 109-117, which bind regional elections); the result does not wait for a court, so there is no court-validation stage.
