Statute art. 25.4: elections are called 'de manera que se celebren el cuarto domingo de mayo de cada cuatro años' (Law 14/1986 art. 15.1 repeats it): the fourth Sunday of May 2027 is 23 May. 2023 precedent: Decreto 11/2023 of 3 Apr, published BOPA 65 of 4 Apr 2023, set 28 May 2023, citing Statute art. 25 and LOREG art. 42 (decree on the 55th day before polling, published the next day, art. 42.3); the 2027 decree is therefore expected about 29-30 Mar 2027 (estimate). Snap-election risk is low: Statute art. 25.3 bars dissolution 'cuando reste menos de un año para su terminación', and a chamber elected early only serves out the original term. The Junta Electoral Central's 'Elecciones en curso' page listed no election in progress on 30 Sep 2026. Polls: LOREG art. 84.1, 09:00-20:00 (supletory; Law 14/1986 does not change it); 20:00 CEST = 18:00 UTC. Law 14/1986 art. 33: the regional government supplies provisional information on the result. 2023 precedent: the Government of Asturias published provisional results on resultadosasturias2023.infoelecciones.com and an app from its data centre in Oviedo (note of 22 May 2023). Provisional count only; it excludes the votes of electors resident abroad (CERA), which are counted at the general scrutiny (LOREG art. 75).
