Polling day Date not yet official. Counted by Republic Electoral Commission. Times are Belgrade time; hover for UTC.

Held only if no candidate wins a majority of the votes of the voters who voted in the first round (tentatively 27 Dec 2026; Law on the Election of the President art. 21). RIK then orders, within three days of the total report becoming final, a repeat vote ('ponovno glasanje') within 15 days of that decision, on a non-working day, between the two candidates with the most votes (more if tied) (arts. 22-23).

Polls open 07:00-20:00 local (RIK, 'O izborima za predsednika Republike'); Belgrade is on CET (UTC+1), so the close is 19:00 UTC. The presidential law applies the MPs' law where it is silent (art. 8); MPs' law art. 123: polling-station results go up on RIK's site as they are processed, and RIK establishes preliminary results for all processed stations within 24 hours of the close. 2022 precedent: RIK announced preliminary presidential results (87.25% of stations) at 19:20 on 4 Apr 2022, the day after the 3 Apr vote (Nedeljnik). The window closes at the end of the day after polling day. Preliminary, not the final result.

Law on the Election of the President art. 19: local election commissions file summary reports within 96 hours of the close; art. 20: RIK adopts and publishes the total report (ukupan izveštaj) within 96 hours of receiving all of them, published in the Službeni glasnik; both clocks restart after repeat voting at annulled polling stations or decisions on objections, and objections to the total report run 72 hours after it is posted. The opening (96 h after the close) is an ESTIMATED floor. Precedents from RIK's own session reports: 2017 (standalone, like this one), polling 2 Apr, repeat voting 11 and 17 Apr, final report adopted 20 Apr 2017 (day 18); 2022 (held with parliamentary elections), polling 3 Apr, repeat voting at 35 stations 16 Apr, total report adopted 9 May 2022 (day 36). The window errs late and closes at the end of day 40; the Statehood Day public holidays (15-16 Feb) fall inside it. Appeals against RIK decisions on objections go to the Administrative Court before the report becomes final; no court confirms the result afterwards, so there is no court-validation stage. Art. 26: the candidate with the most votes in the repeat vote is elected; a tie repeats the vote within 15 days.
