Law on the Election of the President art. 19: local election commissions file summary reports within 96 hours of the close; art. 20: RIK adopts and publishes the total report (ukupan izveštaj) within 96 hours of receiving all of them, published in the Službeni glasnik; both clocks restart after repeat voting at annulled polling stations or decisions on objections, and objections to the total report run 72 hours after it is posted. The opening (96 h after the close) is an ESTIMATED floor. Polls open 07:00-20:00 local (RIK, 'O izborima za predsednika Republike'); Belgrade is on CET (UTC+1) after the 25 Oct 2026 clock change, so the close is 19:00 UTC. The presidential law applies the MPs' law where it is silent (art. 8); MPs' law art. 123: polling-station results go up on RIK's site as they are processed, and RIK establishes preliminary results for all processed stations within 24 hours of the close. 2022 precedent: RIK announced preliminary presidential results (87.25% of stations) at 19:20 on 4 Apr 2022, the day after the 3 Apr vote (Nedeljnik).
