Government. Days from polling day to the parliamentary vote of confidence: 2024, 28 Nov (33; parliament.ge). Earlier cycles used a mixed electoral system with majoritarian runoffs and are not counted. If no confidence vote passes in time, Constitution Art. 56(3)-(4) leads to a second nomination round or dissolution and extraordinary elections. A government market needs a deadline well beyond the constitutional sequence (about 26 + 10 + 14 + 2 days). Not before . Precedents: 33 days from polling day.

  1. Election-night count
    →
    precedent
Election Code Art. 60(1): polling 'from 8:00 to 20:00 hours' (20:00 Asia/Tbilisi, UTC+4, no DST = 16:00 UTC); Art. 76(4): the CEC posts precinct summary protocols on its website as they are received, and officials may not announce preliminary results not published there. 2024 precedent (polling day 26 Oct 2024): the CEC released preliminary figures from electronically counted precincts at about 22:00 local, and its results site showed more than 99% of precincts counted by about 09:30-10:00 local on 27 Oct (civil.ge live blog; Georgia Today, 27 Oct 2024: '3088 out of 3111 precincts'). Not read on the CEC site itself (Cloudflare-blocked). The window closes at 16:00 local on Sunday 29 Oct 2028, about six hours past precedent. Preliminary, not the official result.
  2. Final result
    →
    announced
Election Code Art. 125(1) (also Art. 76(1)): the CEC, based on DEC and PEC protocols and final court decisions, 'not later than the 26th day from Election Day', summarises the results and draws up the final summary protocol - by Thursday 23 Nov 2028. Art. 76(5): the CEC may not summarise while election disputes are pending in the courts. District commissions summarise by the 15th day (Art. 75(1)), 12 Nov 2028, so the window opens then at 12:00 local (ESTIMATED floor). 2024 precedent: the CEC adopted and signed the final summary protocol on 16 Nov 2024, day 21 after the 26 Oct poll (civil.ge, 17 Nov 2024; Al Jazeera, 16 Nov 2024); not read on cesko.ge, which is Cloudflare-blocked. The window closes at the end of Saturday 25 Nov 2028 local, two days past the statutory deadline. Repeat voting (Art. 125(17), within two weeks of polling day) or a re-run (Art. 127) would move the final result later; a snap election after a dissolution (Constitution Art. 37(3): 45-60 days after dissolution) would replace this date. No court confirms the result, so no court-validation stage.
  3. Government formed
    → —
    announced
Constitution Art. 38: the new Parliament first meets no later than the 10th day after the official announcement of the results; Art. 56(1)-(2): once its full powers are recognised the Government relinquishes authority, and within 2 weeks Parliament holds a vote of confidence in a Government proposed by the Prime Minister candidate of the party with the best result (majority of all members); Art. 56(5): the President appoints the Prime Minister within 2 days of the vote. No government before the final result. 2024: Parliament voted confidence on 28 Nov 2024 (parliament.ge, 28 Nov 2024), 33 days after polling day.
