Date TENTATIVE, the latest lawful one: art. 257 (not changed by LO 26-05 on this point) fixes round 2 'au quinzième (15ème) jour après la proclamation des résultats du premier tour par la Cour constitutionnelle', and 'la durée maximale entre le premier et le deuxième tour ne doit pas dépasser trente (30) jours' - 16 Sep + 30 days = Tue 16 Oct 2029. With the 2024 pace (Court proclamation seven days after polling) round 2 would fall about 22 days after round 1. If a round-2 candidate dies or is legally prevented, the whole election is rerun (Constitution art. 95; art. 257 as amended).
