Most of Michigan is Eastern time; a few Upper Peninsula counties bordering Wisconsin are on Central time, so the last polls close at 8:00 PM CST = 02:00 UTC on 4 Nov (Eastern-time polls close an hour earlier, 01:00 UTC). Unofficial results are posted by county and local clerks and collected on the Department of State results pages. Precedent: the day after the 8 Nov 2022 election the Secretary of State announced that "nearly all unofficial results had been reported by midday" (Department of State news release, 9 Nov 2022); the window therefore closes at noon EST on 4 Nov.
