Each State's counting and tabulating committee counts the ballots, including absentee ballots, and the national election commissioner sends the State's unofficial result to the Director. 2023 (vote 7 Mar): Congress published 'unofficial results of the National Elections on March 08, 2023' on 9 Mar (cfsm.gov.fm, 9 Mar 2023), day 1–2. 2021 (vote 2 Mar): Chuuk's report reached the Director only on 19 Mar, day 17, after a presidential decree extended the mail-in ballot deadline to 16 Mar (Director's memo, 19 Mar 2021; cfsm.gov.fm, 17 Mar 2021).
