    LGIPE art. 285.1: 'La votación se cerrará a las 18:00 horas' (local time). The last polls close in the UTC-7 zones (Baja California, Sonora, Pacific), at 01:00 UTC. Reglamento de Elecciones art. 353.4(a): the federal PREP 'podrá iniciar a partir de las 20:00 horas, tiempo del centro' (02:00 UTC), and it closes 'en un plazo de veinticuatro horas' after it opens (02:00 UTC on 8 Jun). It may close earlier once every PREP acta is recorded (art. 353.6). INE/CG479/2026 row 546: PREP in production 6-7 Jun 2027. Art. 311.4 requires a total recount to 'concluya antes del domingo siguiente al de la jornada electoral'. Under art. 312.1 each district council declares validity and issues the majority certificate for its seat. These are official counts for the 300 district seats, but not the Chamber's final result: the 200 PR seats are assigned later. The window closes at the end of Sun 13 Jun (CDMX time).

    The INE Consejo General makes the total count, declares the PR election valid and assigns the 200 PR seats 'a más tardar el 23 de agosto del año de la elección' (LGIPE art. 44.1(u)). Under art. 327 this comes after the Tribunal Electoral has resolved the challenges; district-count challenges (juicios de inconformidad) must be decided by 3 Aug (LGSMIME art. 58.1).
