- Final result→announcedThe Constitutional Council, not ELECAM, proclaims the result. Code électoral art. 168(1): it 'en proclame les résultats dans un délai maximal de vingt (20) jours à compter de la date de clôture du scrutin'. That is Saturday 8 May 2027 for an 18 April vote; the window closes at the end of that day, local time (WAT = UTC+1, no DST). There is no national preliminary count. Each polling station makes its own result public (art. 113). Divisional supervisory commissions forward their reports within 72 hours (art. 67). The national vote-counting commission, chaired by a member of the Council, sends its record to the Council within 5 days (art. 69). Petitions are due within 72 hours of the close of polls. Precedent: vote on Sunday 9 February 2020. Rulings on petitions came on 24–25 February. The Council's proclamation at a public hearing on 28 February 2020 was day 19, one day inside its 20-day limit of 29 February (AU observer report; Cameroon Tribune, 28 Feb 2020). The opening of 1 May 2027 local time (day 13) is an estimate: the petitions and the national count have to come first. In 2020 the Council annulled 11 constituencies (13 seats), so this proclamation covered 167 of 180 seats. The re-run elections, due 20 to 40 days after an annulment (art. 135(2)), were held on 22 March 2020 (RFI, 23 Mar 2020), and the Council proclaimed those 13 seats on 7 April 2020 (CRTV, 7 Apr 2020): outside this window. The Council's decisions are final (art. 136). The new Assembly meets by right on the second Tuesday after the proclamation (art. 148(5)), which is 18 May 2027 if the proclamation comes on the last day.
