The same day elects the Stadtbürgerschaft (Bremen city), the Stadtverordnetenversammlung (Bremerhaven) and the Beiräte. Voting ends at 18:00 (Statistisches Landesamt, 2015: postal ballots are counted \"nach Ende der Wahlzeit um 18 Uhr\"); 18:00 CEST = 16:00 UTC. Bremen does NOT publish a preliminary result on election night: in 2015 only 70 sample districts were counted on the Sunday for the Statistisches Landesamt's projection (first figures expected around 21:30), and partial running results with a provisional seat distribution appeared on www.wahlen.bremen.de; the remaining districts were counted from Monday. This stage is that partial count and projection; the window closes at 01:59 CEST on Monday 31 May 2027. Seats: 87, elected in two separate electoral areas: 72 in the Wahlbereich Bremen and 15 in the Wahlbereich Bremerhaven (wahlen.bremen.de). Each area allocates its own seats, and the 5% threshold applies separately in each area (\"im jeweiligen Wahlbereich\"), so a list can win seats in one area without passing 5% in the other.
